Amber Raeder
I am the person you speak to on the phone, the one who consults with brides and their families, the person who schedules your session and the photographer behind the lens. I choose the poses, enlist the appropriate assistants and edit each photograph.

As a young girl, I was exposed to modeling and I worked in the industry until the age of 17. I enjoyed it and figured out quickly what being photogenic meant.
After countless photographs had been taken, I decided it was my turn to be the photographer. I found that taking photos of my own children, friends and family at events such as weddings, was something that I excelled at and really enjoyed. Compliments and encouragement made me realize that I could make a living doing what I love.
I do not take lightly being in charge of capturing the most important details of any person's life. I still get 'butterflies' before any job because I want to offer my best work to every client.
The intimate moments that occur between a couple on their wedding day or during their baby's first portrait is beyond breathtaking and I find myself still getting choked up at times.
When I expect subjects to smile for the camera, I smile as well. I never want to become emotionless or robotic at my job because I want every frame to be fresh and exciting.
When I'm not working, I'm taking care of my two sons with my husband of 8 years. We love spending time on our boat in the St. Joe river, exploring local parks and attending Notre Dame football or Cubs baseball games. Music is a huge inspiration therefore I must make it to at least one good concert a year too!
I'm a 'girly girl' so quality time with my friends is essential. Whether it be a shopping trip, coffee and a manicure or sharing a martini and some laughs, I like to kick back and have a good time when I can.
